Judy was one of the original founders of what is now Morrow Morrow & Crosbie, and she continues to practice with a client‑focused approach that centres on accident and injury law.
A 1985 graduate of Dalhousie University’s Schulich School of Law, she was called to the Newfoundland and Labrador Bar in 1986. After beginning her career in St. John’s, Judy moved to Bay Roberts, where she and Bill established the firm’s foundation.
In recognition of her outstanding contributions to the legal profession, Judy was appointed Queen’s Counsel (now King’s Counsel) for Newfoundland and Labrador in 2017 and has earned high marks for both legal ability and ethical standards in the Martindale‑Hubbell Peer Review Ratings.
With more than three decades of experience, Judy has built a reputation for compassion and tenacity across personal injury, family law, and real estate matters. She takes pride in guiding clients through often‑challenging circumstances, always aiming to protect their rights and bringing peace of mind.
Judy is a strong advocate for her clients and for the legal rights of the public at large which has resulted in effective and meaningful representation for Newfoundlanders and Labradorians.
Judy’s commitment extends far beyond the courtroom. Over the years she has served her community on numerous boards and committees, including as Co‑Chairperson of the Newfoundland and Labrador Summer Games (2020 – 2024). She chaired the NL 2019 Workers’ Compensation Statutory Review Committee, acted as Chief Adjudicator for the Newfoundland and Labrador Human Rights Commission, and held leadership roles with the Legal Aid Commission, serving both as Vice‑Chairperson/Secretary and Chair of its Appeal Board. Judy has also shared her knowledge as a part‑time instructor at Memorial University of Newfoundland and Labrador.
Judy enjoys spending time with her family and in particular, her grandson, recognizing the significance of balancing work life and personal life, not just for herself, but for the whole team at Morrow Morrow & Crosbie. She boasts leading a friendly and professional work environment over the years and is very proud of the firm’s success.
